Abstract

Stunting is a condition where a child has a length or height that is smaller than his age. Bekasi Regency is one of the provinces that contributes to the high stunting rate. 23 villages in Bekasi Regency are priority villages for the focus of reducing stunting. This shows that stunting is still a public health problem in the area. Efforts to reduce the incidence of stunting consist of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention with specific interventions and sensitive interventions. One of the factors causing stunting is parenting patterns and attitudes that can be observed from the parenting patterns of mothers and families. This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting patterns in children aged 2- 5 years and attitudes to prevent stunting at the Tarumajaya Health Center. Method: This study uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional method. The sample technique used is non-probability sampling using the purposive sampling method. The analysis used is the Pearson correlation test which was carried out on 65 parents who have children aged 2-5 years. Results: The results of the analysis obtained a p-value of 0.092> α 0.05. which shows that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning that there is no relationship between parenting patterns and attitudes towards preventing stunting. Conclusion: This study shows that there is no relationship between parenting patterns in children aged 2-5 years and attitudes towards preventing stunting.
