Nurses' workload in the inpatient ward is a factor that can affect the level of job satisfaction. Various journals have shown that high workload can cause stress, fatigue, and decreased motivation, which contribute to low job satisfaction. This article aims to examine the relationship between workload and job satisfaction of inpatient nurses based on a review of published journals. This study was conducted using a literature review method from various relevant national and international journals. Data sources were obtained through searches in databases such as Google Scholar, with the criteria of journals that discuss the relationship between workload and job satisfaction of nurses in inpatient rooms in the last five years. Based on the results of the journal review from Google Scholar, it was found that workload has a negative relationship with nurses' job satisfaction. High workload is often associated with increased psychological distress, physical fatigue, and decreased quality of nursing care. High workload can negatively impact nurses' job satisfaction in the inpatient ward. Therefore, effective workload management policies are needed to improve nurses' well-being and the quality of health services
