Abstract

Elderly is a process of organ function decline and physical function decline and prone to complications.The development of the elderly globally, data from the association of countries in 2022 stated that there were 727 million elderly people aged 65 years. By 2050 The number of elderly people will double to 1.5 billion people. Hypertension is the most common health problem in the elderly.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical activity in efforts to reduce the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. The database search method used Google Scholar which was limited from january 2020 to january 2025 for 5 years by reviewing  10  journals. The results found in this literature review showed  that physical activity has been proven effective in lowering blood pressure in the elderly.
